The form ST-8 Certificate of Exempt Capital Improvement allows us to NOT have to collect sales tax on your new installed garage door and/or opener. A registered New Jersey contractor must collect the tax on the amount charged for labor and services under the contract unless the owner gives him a fully completed Certificate of Exempt Capital Improvement.
